Magazine publisher Stack has created its own version of MySpace meets YouTube with MyStack, an interactive Web site specifically for high school athletes.

MyStack allows participants to have access to sports highlights and gain an inside track on their opponents.

Users can create searchable profiles of their interests, sports awards, athletic goals and colleges they hope to attend. They can also upload videos of their high school highlights and games.

MyStack members can generate a network of fellow athletes with whom they can communicate. They can write messages to each other, create teams of athletes with similar interests or ask peers to join their group of online friends.

Thus far the site at mystack.stackmag.com has more than 10,000 registered users.

The site is also a way to streamline the college recruiting process by bringing together athletes, athletic directors, coaches and recruiters. Users also have the capability to e-mail their profiles to college recruiters.
